Clare Garnett is an experienced business news anchor on ‘Russia Today’, a live English-speaking 24hour television news channel.

Based in Moscow , she has been working at the network since its launch in 2005.

Broadcasting to millions of viewers around the world Clare keeps her audience up to date with all the very latest Russian and international business news as well as analysing in depth the global stock markets.  Carrying out regular live interviews with company CEOs and business analysts Clare has covered many high profile international economic forums such as those in Moscow , St. Petersburg and Sochi .  In addition to anchoring, she also helps produce, research and edit the programme’s output.

Before moving over to the business programme Clare reported on a wide variety of news stories for ‘Russia Today’, from international political and diplomatic affairs to social and cultural issues.

Prior to working at ‘ Russia Today’ Clare worked in England as a broadcast journalist at radio stations across Berkshire .  As well as news reporting, she also interviewed frontbench MPs, MEPs and well known public figures from the world of sport, culture and entertainment.

Clare holds a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism from the London College of Communication (formally LCP).  She is a graduate of the University of Manchester with time spent at Melbourne University in Australia .  She has also received a Grade 8 Gold Award from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
